SOME COMMON Questions

All of my services provide email support & coaching/meeting opportunities to have all of your nutrition questions answered. but here are a few of the most common questions I get from people starting out.

Clean is EVERYTHING!  Getting rid of processed garbage and foods that have no nutritive benefit is the foundation to all healthy lifestyles!  I prioritize a clean eating lifestyle with all of my clients, regardless of their health goals, as it is the most important part of proper nutrition for all. All of my focus in every program is built around clean nutrition lifestyle education. 

First, let’s get rid of the word “diet”, as they don’t last – but lifestyle changes do! There is no one-size fits all approach to nutrition, except for clean eating.  From there, depending on health goals, I work out the best plan in individualized coaching, but I am partial to keto for weight loss and diabetes management, paleo and mediterranean type diets for maintenance, and I’m a big believer that our country would reduce the majority of our health problems if we all ate under 100g net carbs daily and observed a clean eating lifestyle. You will likely never see me stray from that guideline.

Nope!  We look at macros, and I teach you all about that for proper healthy balanced diets. I personally am always aware of my calories, but not one of my plans will ever be based on calories. 

There is no one-sized fits all plan, and this question would depend on your current health goals. If you are focused on weight loss, we use minimal to no grains in your plan.  Someone working on maintenance and other health goals may add in some quinoa, certain types of rice, etc. All of my plans avoid gluten.

I recommend a daily detox drink of hot lemon water with fresh grated ginger root, organic raw apple cider vinegar “with the mother” and a cinnamon stick. This is an excellent daily routine to add for great gut health!  I do have some more intense occasional cleanses I recommend in my programs for those who may benefit from them.
